Starting out from off from 10th Ave at parking area

Having parking right next to the trail is a good idea. 

There are not supposed any motorized vehicles on the trail 

This part of the trail goes to the furthest point the train did towards Farmville ending at about 4 miles.

The trail goes under Rt 40 and you can tell from this vantage point the bridges historical features

A Closer look to the arched support structure and the source of that loud siren we hear many times a week.

The technology for the Siren used here is over 75 years old and interesting take a look here

Once you come under the bridge you enter the park area

The Park of course was at one time the main support and maintenance for the Virginian Railroad.

The Park has variety of trails . This one winds its way around  this large shade tree

Benches are thoughtfully placed throughout 
Railroad Park.

Notice how the covered structures Victoria Station and on the right   as you walk across the bridge Nutbush, have the historical railroad names

Not  exactly Main Street Station ,but it  did serve the purpose.

A project to reconstruct this shelter following the plans below gives the out come of the  actual one pictured below 

The Park has many activities and amenities for residents and visitors alike as displayed below .

Railroad Park has variety of Pavilions and structures that are used for many events and available to the Town Residents and Visitors alike.

This aerial shot of Victoria was taken in 1954 looking west.    It shows the turntable and roundhouse in the lower left, and the passenger station

 This play activity area is built in a circle with crafted wooden train looking a little like the Roundhouse

 Lets take a look at the footprint the massive facility that helped keep the Virginian Railway on the move and made The Town of Victoria  

The actual footprint and area where many hope a recreation of the old Victoria Station and Virginian offices were can be built.
